    Volvo SX mount to 1989 Cobra Transom assy?

    Does anyone know if a volvo SX drive can mate to a 1989 OMC transom assy? I have read where it is compatible and that the volvo drives after 92 had a superior cone shifting mechanism. If so, any ideas what year/model for volvo to fit the OMC (1989 5.7L). Thanks in advance.

    OMC outdrive raises while stored in down position

    I have an OMC Cobra outdrive and when I store the boat I lower the outdrive to just touch the ground to take the pressure off the hydraulic system. After a week or so the outdrive actually raises a little (about 3 inches measured at the skeg). This seems odd. Trim and tilt work fine otherwise...
