    help finding year model for mercury

    I have a merc 125 thunderbolt i found 2 #'s they are 846-3181 on the side of the motor and 2396222 on the mount where it hooks on the boat. and can you tell me if this is a good motor. please help i am new to working on boat motors thank you...
