The iboats forum moderators are excited to announce that at this time it appears the iboats forums posting pictures function is working once again. Though we cannot promise for how long, we're hoping for indefinitely.
I want to mix some new gas a little heavy on the SeaFoam and run it through my kicker.
Do all the portable tanks have the same connector?
If I purchase these 2 items will I have what I need...
Since this is a pretty diverse group I thought I would just ask if any of you know anything about Mastiff dogs.
I?m thinking about adopting a boxer/mastiff mix. He is 90-100 lbs.
I had great luck with the underground fence for about 15 years with my last dog. He was a boxer/GSD mix and after...
My trailer came with a removable tongue and a quick disconnect for the brakes. I have to pull the tongue out for the garage door to close.
If the flexible brake line was about 6 inches longer I could remove the tongue without disconnecting the brake line which would be easier and probably...
I got a new aluminum boat last fall that came with a trailer with 4 bunks. One of the outside bunks is not even touching the boat so I thought I would remove the bolts and snug it up against the boat with a jack and use a couple of washers as spacers.
Is snug against the boat good enough or...
A friend of mine purchased a 1999 Tracker With A 9.9 Tracker by Mercury Marine engine. I believe it to be 2 cycle but that is all we know about the thing.
Does anyone know if the oil needs to be pre-mixed and if so what the ratio might be.
It was purchased from a lady whose husband died and...
Any reason I shouldn't use a couple of quality chain quick links to put a small tuck in my safety chains where they connect to the trailer frame.
I have a lot of excess and it would be nice to just hook them up instead of doing a bunch of twists plus I move the boat with the tractor sometimes...
I just purchased an aluminum boat on a trailer with drum surge brakes. Winter forces me to put the boat away with a 2500lb 35hp 4x4 diesel mower by pulling up my driveway, turning a tight turn at the top, running downhill a little and then backing into the garage.
When backing, the boat just...
My new boat is to arrive in about a week and since it is the wet season I can no longer turn around in the back yard and pull down the driveway before backing into the garage.
I have been using my mower (2500 lb 4x4 rear steer JD) to pull my boat up the hill and because of the rear wheel steer...
If anyone passes through here who owns any of the G3 V172 models with either a 90 or 115 Yamaha I would be very interested to hear about your top speed.
Thanks
My current boat is a Lowe 170SE which was fitted by the dealer with an E-Tec 50 and Johnson 9.9. The boat was not enough beam/weight/something and I was forced to remove and sell the 9.9 leaving me with no motor for my local lake.
I'm looking to replace it with the smallest Lowe Deep V that...
One side of my trailer has a small amount of oil in the Bearing Buddy cover each time I remove it. The other side is always completely dry. The hub has never run hot and is due for re-packing anyway but I was wondering what causes the grease to produce oil and if I need to do anything different.
I'm thinking about purchasing the 161 Pro Angler and having them mount my E-tec 50. This boat would be used to run up river about 15 miles to fish in really cold water during winter.
Will the 50hp be enough for this boat?
How does it handle rough water? Not anyways near great lakes rough...
My fishing buddy purchased a used G3 Eagle 165. This is a modified V type boad but the angle of the hull runs from bow to somewhere about the drivers seat.
We fish at a no power loading ramp and because of the angle of the hull, no part of the boat touches the bunks until the nose is already...
My boat came with a Rule 500GPH bilge pump (no manual). The wires rest against my emergency 1 gal gas can.
I was thinking that I might be able to get the pump to twist on with the wires on the other side but I have been unable to figure out how to remove the pump.
There are 2 white plastic...
I have read that if I change grease base type I should clean all the old out of the hub as well as repacking the bearings.
Are we talking about just dry cloth cleaning or using some sort of solvent.
What solvent would I use ?
I ended up with a different base type on each side of my...
I have a 17ft riveted bass boat with a 50hp outboard and a brand new SS prop. No Tach, No Spedo.
I took my GPS with me and found my top speed is now 38 mph which is up from 34 with the aluminum prop.
I also found that I can get 39 with just an one more click of up trim but at that point the...
I took a little chunk out of my prop last weekend so I thought I would just run to Iboats and purchase a new stainless prop in about 5 minutes. Keep in mind that I have no idea what I am doing.
My E-tec 50 came with a 13.25 X 17 aluminum prop with 763463 stamped on it which I assume is the...
I ordered lights to mount to my PVC guide posts more to light up my garage door for backing that for tail lights.
If I run the wires down the post it will put them about 10 inches from the tail light wires. Does this connection have to be completely water proof to prevent shorts?
I hate to...
My trolling motor was factory installed by connecting a pigtail with a plug to the wire from the trolling motor with 2 butt connectors and then covered with shrink tube.
The last couple times out I noticed the ground getting hot around the connector. I removed the shrink tube and found the...
I have a 17 ft modified V (more modified than V I think) aluminum riveted boat that I purchased last fall and I am completely new to boating. I made a couple of trips up the river to fish and never had any problems with the occasional boat wakes.

I made the mistake of taking the same...
