    Is your top water pipe Grommet in good condition? What about your lower exhaust Tuner rubber seal? If the latter is missing then that can pressurise the rest of the exhaust housing and Chuff water out through the top shock mount area. Best Simon Higham Outboard Buddy

    I’m interested to know what your fuel pressure reads? Was it the blocked VST screen? If the fuel pressure is good, it’s very possible what you’re experiencing is an ECU rev limiter. Best Simon Higham Outboard buddy.

    remove the rubber exhaust seal, then lever under the base, it will start to come. the base (if its been in for a while) may damage when removing. but most modern water pump kits come with a new one. best simon higham Outboard Buddy
