Up date incase anyone has same issue. After finding the correct bolt size and thread I put a heli coil in. The size was 3/4-10 inch corse thread. Able to torque to correct specs. Once get stern drive back on and test it should be good for a long time.
So was doing gimbal bearing and bellows and when putting the housing back on noticed one pivot bolt would go in but the other wouldn’t. Did an inspection and found the first couple threads parts of it are gone in the housing.
Think using a heli coil would work and if so what the thread size is...
