I recently bought (last year) a 2006 Monterey Explorer 263 with a Volvo Penta 350 and duo prop. Multiple people have commented that the shifter is hard to shift into gear and hard to get back into neutral (the button does not want to pop out). At times went from forward to reverse without it...
