    Sunken OMC gas tank gauge float

    Evinrude 7.5 / 5.5 Interchange?

    Does anyone know if a '54-'58 Evinrude 7.5 powerhead will bolt into a 1960 Evinrude 5.5 ? The 5.5 design ran from '54 to '64, and I suspect that the 7.5 is a bored out version of the same powerhead, but I'm not sure. I'd like to really know so that I could maybe start to look for a good...
