    There is some sort of access plate starboard and port side . I must cut carpet and a couple inches of foam just to see what’s underneath the access plate .I figure it must e for the sending unit ,but I’ve figured wrong before . Hate to star tearing into something without knowing what is where .

    I can’t access the top of the tank . I have the vent , filler and pickup . The sending unit is under the darn floor with no visible access .

    Considered a extra gallon tank . I did use a hose and measure the wetness for some measure of volume.

    I know head gaskets are common I’ve had this one changed . Good advice , nothing to loose .

    I did not investigate personally but I DID have a guy use a bore scope . The bottom cylinder is very tight . When I can I will pull the head ,I do have a head gasket . A hone ,piston and rings ain’t that hard . I did buy another boat. But still love my Bayliner and Force 85 . 25 years...

    I have a 89 Force 85 3 cylinder. Seems the lower cylinder has gone bad . New power head or tear into it and try to fix it ? Any advice ?

    I have a 93 pro mag 16.1 . Gas gauge doesn‘t work . Gauge is good , no signal from the sending unit . How do I access the sending unit ? Is there a access hole someplace? thanks ….
