    I clean it and also the three little holes in the top of the carb. I have clean the carb twice cleaned all the little holes with a snail piece of wire and blew compressed air through it.

    Ok double checked with an ohm meter and the wires were crossed. The other think I discovered is the remote cables need to be attached so the throttle is in the right position when starting. When doing that is fire over. Thanks again

    And what am I look for or how do i verify the marks line up? I know then is a mark or 2 lines on the armature plate and time marks on the fly wheel.

    I would rather not mess with the time, but if the plug wires are not crossed and i don't think they are. That would only leave a timing issue. causing it to back fire and not start. I have a SELOC book on the motor.
