Had mechanic look at the box said he sees parts that belong to mercury engine not sure if it all belongs to same drive. Also there is rust on some of the gear parts.

Severe damage to lower drive. No insurance. Mechanic working on boat suffered blood clots passed away. Picked up boat found upper and lower in a 2 boxes completely taken apart. Family stated they are unsure if all parts belong to my boat. Question I have can 1.97 ratio sx-m fit 1.79...
