    What? The piston is an air pump. It drawing air in through the reeds and on the down stroke air goes out the exhaust.

    If there’s an air leak in the lower half wouldn’t it affect the lower carb and not the upper?

    Wouldn’t there be signs of oil under flywheel? Or are you talking between cylinders? Would the middle sealing ring affect both carbs?

    shouldn’t matter. yes. Throttle plates open. That shouldn’t matter, I should feel a suction with throttle plates closed. There’s no signs of oil under the flywheel. I assume the seal is fine.

    Anyone have an idea why if I put my hand over the top carb while running there's no movement. It's not sucking any air. Feels completely dead. Bottom carb plenty of suction. There's really good compression in all 4 cylinders. Reeds looked good. Don't get it.
