    NO REVERSE, ONLY FORWARD

    I have a 1971 80hp 800 Mercury Motor. <br /><br />Shifting into forward works fine but when shifting into reverse it still runs in forward but faster. The shift mechanism works fine in both directions. IF I disconnect the shift mechanism and work manually it still does not allow me to shift...
