    Update, put another coil plate on it, and the brain box, new used. It maybe ran a little better. The prop is a 19 pitch and I have added a lot of weight, anyone feel it's a prop issue?

    I did some reading and I think 8, but the mechanic said I need to set it for 12, and I haven't pulled it out and changed it. I think now it won't go above about 2000.

    Got another question, I put a different console with a tach and hooked it up, well I have it on the wrong setting and rpm's aren't reading correct, can or could that affect the way the engine runs? I wouldn't think so but had to ask.

    Yes sir, that was what I was going to check yesterday and I couldn't get it to idle. And why would taking coil plate on and off change anything?

    Update, mechanic said he may have found a coil plate and box. Good thing cause I cranked it today and it doesn't want to idle. Pull the fast idle up and it runs, put it down about halfway and it dies. SMH

    It does seem to be a fuel issue since bumping the choke helps it. I think I will put muffs on it and spray each carb with cleaner and if it picks up I will clean that carb again.

    Mine is a 2000 and from 94-04 is supposed to work. But you know how that is. I ordered a new one today, so we will see.

    Yes circumference is bigger, about an 1/8 of an inch, flywheel will not go down over it. I guess I got to send it back and try again.

    Update, got new magnito plate today and the new one is about and 1/8" bigger than old one, all the wires the same, everything hooks up the same and flywheel won't go on. Is there something I am missing, anyway to adjust the plate to fit my flywheel. HELP!!!!

    Was hoping to get a confirmation from some of the experts on here about magnito plate. I found one on line and ordered it. My question is, will flywheel come off without a puller, and is the magnito a plug and play or does it have to be set in a certain position?
