Wow, spell check in the wrong, it’s I don’t have a fuel pressure gauge and it has plenty of fuel. It runs now after putting a USCG hose and a spin filter on. Seems to have a small Drip of gas around the linkage somewhere. I tightened the screws on the carb and I’ll check in the morning to see if...

Thanks!! I’m heading out to get USCG approve gas line. The carb was rebuilt a couple of weeks ago. Would it help if I use carb cleaner? The boat does not have a fuel filter. 1968 MerCruiser 120 sterndrive water pump

Okay thanks I’d like be be able monitor the water exiting. I see videos where there is a lot of water, when I let the engine warm up the temp gauge reads low end of the green. Is that a good indicator or do I need to see a lot of water? I’ll keep looking for the exit ports.

Maybe I’m not letting the engine get hot enough for there to be a good flow of water exiting the ports?

Mercruiser 120 no spark to plugs

I have a 1968 MerCruiser 120. First it would not crank over. There is a shift interrupt switch inside the gear shifter lever assembly I bypassed that at the ignition switch. Now it cranks over. But there is no spark when I pull a plug and ground it and crank it over. I replaced the points...
