    Tilt/ Trim Problem

    I have a 1996 Merc 115/ single ram 3 wire T-N-T. Do I need to remove outboard to get to the back mounting screws when replacing tilt/trim? Thanks in advance.

    hard steering

    I took boat out of storage and did the usual maint. on it. But found out it won't steer. Unhooked the cable at the motor and it works fine. It is locked up in the swivel bracket itself. Motor tilts okay, just won't turn. HELP anyone! Leaving on a fishin' trip in 10 days. Thanks
