    Mercury 60 Upgrade

    trevorcday said in a post 04/01/2002 that you could uprate a Mercury 50 2002 to 60hp by changing the plastic restrictor plate behind the carbs for one from a 60 with larger holes.<br /> Does this mean that the carb jets remain the same? Any idea of the Mercury Part No for the larger hole plate...

    Mercury 50 to 60 4 stroke Conversion

    I have twin Mercury 50 4 stroke outboards, 1996.<br />I read in this forum that by changing a plastic carb spacer, you can uprate to 60 hp version.<br />Can anyone tell me the part numbers and where to get these 60 hp spacers (I live in Spain) by Mail Order.
