    Serial number Problem miss section very very hot

    My sticker says OT080686 in serial box and the box under it has 2000 8M and year says 99. Why when I go to any mercury sites trying to order parts the sites tells me no serial number found. Miss section of the motor is too hot to touch after 2000ft wide open... but the water coming from power...

    Mercury motor lower unit very hot

    What would cause lower unit to become very hot on 00 mercury 2 stroke 8hp? 1/2 a mile and steam coming off the lower unit from bottom of the motor to propeller, brand new LU Lucas gear oil. Mixed gas to 50:1.

    2000 mercury 8hp 4 stroke no oil plugs.

    Guy I hate to say this but I'm a Nascar Mechanic and my little mercury 8hp 4 stroke has no dips stick or oil filler plug or drain plug, I have removed the starter, the carb, all electrical and I can't find anything... Serial number OT080686 2000 model 8M brunswick Corp
