I have a 1989 force 125 (us marine). I just replaced the steering cable. And the outboard barley wants to turn. It's to the point it will kick out the retention fitting on the rotary steering. Also I do not have zerk fittings for the pivot pins. Any ideas how to resolve this issue?
I have a 1997 bayliner trophy 1703 with a 1989 force 125 (Us Marine). I just replaced the teleflex cable and the outboard is still hard to turn. I have no kinks in the cable. It turns easier once past straight. But to return to straight is a chore.
