    Probably will have to chisel out foam but it should get you access to the inner hull. But flex seal will not fix it.

    Thought better of it

    I have the go fast ready my son bought a wetsuit he thought he was going to ski on easter. The dock at the landing is not in yet and it was a cold NW wind gusty so he valued his testicals and chose to not try, he vowed to ski in April.

    Not so fast. Lund boats the seat basses have a hole in the bottom if the seat is not in the base any water gets below the floor and the insulation hold the moisture. I redid the floor in my 5.3 the floor was rotted the transom is rock solid.

    I have never heard of fearing fishing rods getting wet, people fish in the rain, rods get dropped in the lake etc. I will say this about salt water fishing rods, if you do not rinse them the eyes get pitted and crusty from the salt and humidity if you store them un rinsed.
