I am thinking of buying this Mariner 60, but I don't know its age, whether it's Mercury or Yammy built and if the engine had any common faults I ought to be wary of. Can anyone help please just from these pictures ? Regards John

Hi everyone After quite an absence from the water, I have now got a boat again - just one year old. I took it out last weekend and felt a little disappointed by its performance and one or two niggly faults, so I gave it a couple of hours attention this evening. On Sunday at WOT I was only...

Conversion of Mariner 40 from Tiller to Remote control

Further to my earlier postings re finding the necessary bits, I can confirm that a UK company, E P Barrus of Bicester, do market a full kit of parts to convert the engine from tiller control to full remotes - the kit is much, much cheaper than buying all the individual linkages etc. separately. :)

    I have just bought a 2002 model Mariner 40.
I read in another forum that the mariner 40, 50 and 60 share a common block, pistons, crank, etc and that the difference in power output is achieved solely by larger jets in the carb.

Is this true and, if so, can i easily increase the...
