Just purchased sight unseen 1993 Searay 180. All aspects of boat r great except upon examination of wood substrate I think it needs to be replaced but have not idea how to go about it or how hard of job it might be. Anybody have experience doing this? Appreciate any guidence.

just purchased this motor and when on the boat on full wide open the motor is getting what sounds like a miss. I am thinking the points need to be adjusted but cant find anywhere what the gap should be. Anybody know?
