I have an early straight 6, 115 hp mercury that I'm having issues with. I am trying to get the lower prop apart but I'm not 100 % if i need to take the cotter pin out from the top of the shift linkage? Im hoping there is an easier way, as that cotter pin is not easy to get at. '
