I have a 1984 50 hp evenrude runs great...
problem is i hit a mud flat and messed up the empeller.
took it to the shop had them clean it out and put a new impeller in it.
they said it was fixed took it to the river and overheated..
took it back to them and they said the thermostat had mud in it...
