    84 Johnson 70 hp not firing on bottom cylinder

    Hey guys I was wandering if someone might be able to give me some pointers.My bottom cylinder is not firing,there is no fire to the coil pack.The other two cylinders are fine,I dont know where to start.Thank you.

    Too much fuel?

    I have a 84 Johnson 70 hp and I think it is running rich.When idling it is popping fuel out of the carbs and puddling up a bit in the carb body. It is also sluggish when I give it gas,there are no adjustments on these carbs.I was wondering if I need to make a afloat adjustment or a a timing...

    84 johnson idles too high

    I have an 84 johnson 70 hp and it is idling at 2500 rpm.I just got the motor and I had too replace the water pump.I cleaned the carbs, everything looked good so I did not get carb kits.I have the throttle disnonected and the butterflies are closed.I need some pointers I am mechanically inclined...
