    ford or omc 5.0 interchange

    In connection with my earlier inquiries... Are there any other motors that can be substituted for a omc 302 (1975)? Am disturbed about the possabillity of the cracked block. Motor was fairly new, did't even have any carbon build up at the top of cyl. also was bored .030 over with 351 heads...

    block full , water in cyls, intake valley full !!!!!

    omc 302 1975motor, Freeze plugs popped, pulled motor up and replaced them. No cracks on outside of the block. cleaned out the fuel system, replaced coil and set points . put in the water primed it , fired up nicely. Spent about 10 minutes on the water and the motor loaded up and died. No...
