I have a 20in transom and 15" short shaft 1engines which I am going to fit on a fixed s.steel bracket 12" behind the transom . My question is whether I still need to drop the bracket to allow for the shorter shaft or should I fit it at the same hieght as the transom as it will be 12" behind...
