    Ok here's the scoop I have a 1990 50hp johnson with VRO that wouldn't run so I rebuilt the carbs then it ran fine until I ran wide open. It started pulsing then died.     I am trying to get my motor to run right... I took it out and the alarm went off and I had no highspeed Rebuilt carbs new tank and hose and ball no air in system red switch is pointed at the motor disconnected all wires tan purple rubber grommet did everything besides changed the fuel pump...

    johnson 50/35hp jet drive not running!!

    hi i am new to the whole outboard engine deal but i bought a boat with a 1989 johnson jet drive outboard its 50hp on the head and 35 at the jet ....the thing will not run it will start for about 5 secounds and shut off it has good compression and i just cleaned the carbs real good and its doing...
