No I'm not sure about the tacho. I was using a backup that is unverified.
I was dissapointed when I read the rpm as I figured there was nothing left ! I hope it is incorrect.
I'll try to obtain another instrument to verify.

I have the above on a 9'6 rib and I cant hear my daughter without her speaking by my ear. Has anyone tried sound reducing foam inside the engine cover or some kind of silencer to reduce carb induction roar ?

I have inherited a 9'6" rib ( glass over ply ) tender in excellent condition powered by excellent '97 honda 5hp 4 stroke. Currently it goes 10 to 11 kph / 5 kts (gps). I have not confirmed the engine rpm as waiting on a tacho. std prop ( tidy condition)
I would like to go faster...
