I've got a 14 foot aluminum Duroboat that is light, about 200 pounds, and planes easily. I love it. I would like to get a 4 cycle outboard. Have been using an old 2 cycle Merc 20 HP that is giving up the ghost. The Duroboat manufacturer rates the boat for 15 to 25 HP. About 100 - 110 pounds...
