Quick question about marine tex-- I was looking at the marine tex website and it has- Epoxy Putty, Rapid-Set marine tex, putty stick, liquid marine tex. Which one is the best/strongest for repairing fiberglass hulls?
I have a carbed 150 Vmax and after I dont start it for about 5-6 weeks it gets hard as hell to start up again. My next outboard is def. going to be fuel injected. My stupid question is this- Are EFI's easier than carbed to get started after they sit for about 5-6 weeks?
I have a 98 150 vmax and im wondering how often I need to have the gaskets replaced? Also is there anything else I should have replaced or checked out the next time I have the boat in the shop? thanks :)
My 98 vmax always dies when I slowly put it in gear (forward). I always have to "hammer" it in gear a little to keep it from dieing. This is starting to get annoying, what is the problem? thanks.<br /><br />p.s- I obviously dont know to much about the mechanical part of motors so please explain...
What is the best, most durable stuff for repairing a couple small cracks in my fiberglass hull? A freind told me to just use JB weld but I dont know if I trust that stuff. thanks for any info/advice.
