    Does anyone know the exact maxium rpm for 1985 ,454, 350 HP crusader motors.I have been told 4000 is max, also that 4400 was max. Trying to reprop and need to know. Dont know if makes difference but I have twin 454

    Crusader 454 heating

    I have twin crusaders 454 350hp 1985 model. Have replaced manifolds, thermostats 140 degree, raw water pumps, gauges,heat exchanger,oil cooler and sending units on both motors. Port engine runs 140 up to 2000 rpm, 170 degrees any higher rpm. Starboard runs 140 degrees at any rpm. Any idea why...
