    tach for 1983 90HP Johnson

    The tach for my 1983 90HP Johnson has died. What specs do I need to look for to be sure the new tach will work? Also, I have read about pole settings on the tach (4-pole, 6-pole, etc) but I have no clue which one I have. Can someone help here?
