    Wont run in the water but runs fine sitting in the driveway

    My boat has been running fine for the past month in the driveway on the water hose. Its a 70 hp johnson it is old and hasnt been run in a long time. Can anyone explaine or have any theories as to why it would do this?

    hi guys, I just bought a 1977 Johnson 70HP motor and this is the first for me so new to boats al together. I just got it running and I dont think it is moving water like it should at least i dont think. Correct me if I'm wrong but I am thinking water should be coming out the 2 holes in the back...
