I am being told that my gimbal ring needs replaced for my Bravo 3 outdrive. I have found two options: 1 the standard tap and drill on both sides of my transom plate, or 2 the JR Marine method of drilling and cuting a plate size hole in the back or the transom plate (both options are expensive)...
