    Is there any other way to flush this motor other than submersing it into a barrel? thankyou

    1998 mercury outboard 8.0

    I just bought this motor and it's in excellent shape,,,,,,,never workerd with an outboard this small and i'm wondering what is the round knob about 2 or 3 inches up from the throttle handle that rotates both ways.....ty for any response since i don't have the manual
