Recently had my 16' Spectrum Sport with 40 HP 2-stroke Mercury outboard motor serviced by a local dealer to the "tune" of almost $300.
They:
1. diagnosed that the engine had been running rich and overheating at
idle.
2. replaced the impeller
3. changed gear oil...
