    Johnson 4 prop options ?

1999 -J4REEA-twin 2-stroke. On my Achilles LSI 77(7'7") inflatable my best speed was 4500 rpm with the original 7 1/2 x 7 plastic prop (#319774). The manual says that the recommended max range is 4500-5500. On this website I've learned that the pros like to see a motor propped at or near the top...

Johnson 3.5 Conversion to twist-grip throttle

I'll be taking delivery of a 2006 Johnson 3.5 J3R tomorrow. It has everything I was looking for in an outboard for my new inflatable...except the throttle mechanism. It is on the motor housing and I would prefer it on the tiller. Is it possible to convert it to a twist-grip like the larger motors ?

    Kicker Questions...Again

I'm still struggling with selecting a motor for my new 7'7" inflatable. It is rated for a 4hp max. It must be under 40#(bad back), the lighter the better. I really wanted neutral and twist-grip throttle but these features aren't offered on these smaller motors(except the newest 2.5 hp 4-strokes)...

High Capacity Fuel Pump and Accumix R

1989 Johnson 15 JR15LCEC and Accumix R. I just learned that I'm supposed to be using a High Capacity Fuel Pump with my Accumix R. Can someone explain why this is necessary?
