I just bought a 16ft smokercraft Alaskan with a 40hp johnson workhorse in perfect conditon. This motor does no have the top end speed a would like for this boat. You would think the 40 would work well. I had a 14 ft fiberglass heavier boat with the 20hp johnson and it went faster then this 40 on...
