    vmax 150 won't start

    I have just rebuilt this motor and can't get it to turn over. Battery is charged, I get power up to relay then it stops. I get no power to the trim or oil refill switch that are on all the time. I'v checked my connections but I must have some wire wrong.Any body an idea or any test I can do.

    150 Yamaha engine rebuilding

    Last summer my 2001 VMAX burned out the # 6 and #5 pistons. So it has to be rebuilt. Any body have any tips before I start. My Yamaha service manual shows the 150, 175 and 200 all show the same block. Can a 150 be made into a 2000? Any information woulld be a great help! Thanks!!

    Does any body know if you can match the engine serial number to the engine block number. My shop said it replaced my power head under warranty when the crank shaft broke.     prop slippage

    I have a 2001 Yamaha 150, model # VX150. After 2500 rpm the motor keeps reving but the prop seems to be slipping. My first guess is the I have spun the rub in the prop. Does any body have any other sugestions I would like to check all options.
