    motor close to water

    I have my motor about 2" out of water while sitting still lowered the jack plate down about as far as I can to get it to plane out faster. It helped but worried it is to low?     cant get prop off trolling motor?????

    Its a 93 johnson 42lb thrust that runs off 12 or 24volts, It doesnt seem to be that powerful so I was gonna take prop off and see if fishing line might be behind it. It only has a cotter pin I took that out and will not budge. Is there a trick? I dont have a manual, I just bought the boat.

    smaller prop???1993 stratos 201- Johnson 150

    I wanted to see wot today. I opened it up from a stop and it went straight to 3500 rpms and when it started to get on plain it jumped to 4500 and stayed there, with the trim all the way down. It has a 4 blade stainless 25p prop on it. What do you think I should go to? maybe 23p? not sure on...
