My 2004 Mercury Optimax was running fine and then the motor started surging for about 20 seconds and now it won't run over 2200 rpm and has used a gallon of oil on the 15 mile ride home at 8 knots...? I'm trying to figure out what the problem could be. Please let me know, Thanks Stu!
