    can I put new spark plug boots and ends on vintage wire?

    I have a 1955 johnson seahorse 5.5 that has old solid core spark plug wires, the boots and clips that attaches to the spark plugs are loose fitting. can I splice new connectors on the old wires, I eventually want to get new wires they are just hard to find thanks robert

    just bought 1955 johnson 5.5 seahorse I want to get it running where should I start

    the motor has sat for three years, it came with the original pressurized gas tank. the guy I bought it from says he replaced the recoil and that it ran fine the last time he used it, he said it was a little tricky getting the high and slow speed rich- lean adjusted, I want to try to start it...
