I just replaced the pull cord on a 1972 18 hrs evinrude. The cord pulls out and retracts when not mounted on the engine. I attached it to the engine and now it will not pull out. I was told to check the manual start lockout, but dont have a clue where it is. The engine is in neutral and thottle...
The pull cord broke and I was able to replace it, but when I reattached it the cord will not pull out. The cord will pull out and recoil when not attached, but will not let me when attached?
