i have noticed that over time every time i take out the boat the water coming out of the bilge when i pull the plug the water gets darker and darker. today i took it out and it looked like coffee. now i have not noticed a smell. my motor is an outboard so that's not an issue. any ideas?

mine leans and turns to the starboard side. i know i need to turn the tab. according to the omc manual i know what way to turn it, but is there a rule of thumb on how much to turn the tab? I'm pretty sure its a trial and error thing but gust wondering if there is a rule of thumb?

OK so i pulled the gearcase off rebuilt the water pump. then noticed that there was an o ring that kind of fit on the drive shaft on top of the water pump, but the new kit i bought did not come with this oring and was not supposed to. but is it needed? and if so how can i be sure of the size so...
