My dad has a 1977 or 78 7.5 hp mercury outboard that I can have, but the lower unit is bad. I don't have the motor here to look at it, and I don't have any serial numbers at this time.. Is there a chart somewhere that tells what lower units are interchangable? I heard the 7.5 and the 9.8...
