I am going to carpet my pontoon boat. Is it necessary for the carpet to go
under the rub rail? Does this create a problem in putting the rub rail back on?
The rub rail is simply molded over the deck. No track, no inserts, no bolts.

I have a 1987 Godfrey Marine Sweetwater and am going to
install new carpeting. There is a metal strip running along
the side from front to back. I see only two screws or bolts
with Allen heads on each end of the strip. Are these all that
holds the strip onto the side? Otherwise, how do I remove...
