    My OMC gimbal housing is corroded and locked up

    Have 1987 OMC cobra that sat in the salt water too long. The paint is comprimised and aluminum looks shot. I'm going to repaint the outdrives but I need a new/used housing in reasonable shape.     new risers?! How bout the exhaust manifolds too?

    Would you also replace the exhaust manifold as well? Also the machine shop guy was thinking that these engins would have a ccw rotation for one of them. The out drive is OMC. They have machanical points. would changing the points to electronic ignition be a necessary or wise upgrade?<br />Rich
