    I was looking at my timing advance arm and when I step on the hot foot it fully advances my timing before the butterflies in the carbs start to open, is this the way it's supposed to work.

    Bought a prop off another forum and I'm having trouble finding info on it. The castings on the back of the prop say (Pro.....Pro Tour......and of course size). Has anyone ever heard of this brand.

    1977 Merc 175 Timing

    I'm doing the link & sinc on my motor and my factory manual is only calling for 15 degrees of max timing. There is a note in my manual stating to disregard the 21 degrees and gives directions on placing a new mark on the flywheel, which I've done. Anyone know why it was changed. I just don't...

    Teleflex Hydro Steering

    Does Teleflex or any other mfg. make a steering cylinder to fit say a 1979 Merc 175. Everything I see is for 84 and up. If no one makes one what are my options for hydro.

    Can the blue coil be used in the place of the orange coil.

    Poppet valve

    I just pulled my poppet valve and noticed that the fitting on it goes nowhere. I noticed a well behind the cover on the block but thats it.. Am I missing something. It seems that the hose coming off the head going to that fitting could be deleted.

    I need to replace a few coils. What is the difference in the orange coils and the blue coils.

    Flywheel Position

    I have a 1977 Merc 175 that appears to have had the flywheel taken off at some point with by the ring of bolts holding it to the hub,(wasn't me honestly:). Does it matter how it goes back on. There is no flywheel cover so I could place a new pointer where ever need be. Thank you. Daylon

    Yamaha 115, no spark on #3 cylinder

    1985 Yamaha 115ETLK. I have no spark on # 3 cylinder. I swapped the coil from # 4 to # 3 and still no spark. Any opinions would be appreciated.
