I have a late 80's oil injected Mariner 30 HP "tiller" electric start outboard made by Yamaha. The other day I started it up and and it ran fine , shut it down and smoke started to pour out from under the hood. Close inspection revealed the PVC jacket covering one of the throttle control cables...
