i have a 2000 monterey Montura with a 5.7 chevy with SX out drive. I just brought the boat and was told the owner didn't use it much. Thmostate was frozen open Changed it. With ears on engine came up to normal temp. lunched shallow water, with the out drive slightly raised felt like i hit bottom...
